Formula E is an all-electric motorsport series, similar to Formula 1, which has grown in popularity since its inaugural championship in 2014. Adelaide has repeatedly been suggested as a potential host city for the event.
South Australia is the renewable energy powerhouse of the nation. Its reputation for clean, green, renewable energy could be enhanced and broadcast to the world by bringing Formula E to the state.
Our research shows South Australians back the idea of bringing Formula E to Adelaide. The majority of South Australians want Adelaide to host a championship race, with just 11% opposing the idea.
We at the Australia Institute think it’s time for Adelaide, and Australia, to take a step towards the future of electric transportation and motorsport by hosting the Formula E.

The future of transport is electric and we the undersigned believe it is time Australia put its hand up to become a host of the all-electric racing series Formula E.
Australia needs more electric vehicles on its roads and Formula E would be a great way to encourage interest in EVs in the community and across the country.
We feel the buzz for Formula E and want to see it brought to Australia as soon as possible!
