Human Rights, AI and COVID19
Times of crisis call for extraordinary responses, where government plays a more assertive role in our day to day lives.
In these times, what happens to human rights? Where is the balance between our established rights framework and the response to an international crisis? And in an age of surveillance capitalism, how can we ensure that the technology we use to keep us safe is not turned against us?
Human Rights Commissioner Ed Santow will be joined by some of Australia's leading digital rights experts to discuss how to balance these tensions in an event co-hosted by the Australia Institute's Centre for Responsible Technology and Australia at Home.
