The COVID-19 pandemic has also spawned an “info-demic” - where life-saving facts and genuine expertise is often overrun by half-truths, lies and scams going viral online.

How do we support fact-based discourse, and hold our social media platforms to account?

At this briefing, QUT Researchers Axel Bruns and Timothy Graham will present original research showing coordinated dissemination of conspiracy theories relating to the pandemic and the public impact of such content.
