At a time when so-called 'fake news' is at an all time high, there has never been a greater need for a strong, independent and trusted national broadcaster. It is not hyperbole to say that the ABC is under more technological, financial and political pressure than ever before.

Our expert panel of Genevieve Jacobs (broadcaster & writer), Quentin Dempster (journalist & author), Michelle Rowland MP (Shadow Minister for Communications) and Senator Sarah Hanson-Young (Greens Spokesperson for Communications) along with Ben Oquist (Executive Director, The Australia Institute) as MC, will discuss the ABC funding cuts in the 2018 Budget, the upcoming competitive neutrality inquiry, what the effects will be, and their take on the future of the ABC.
