Tav Talks August: Do we need a public inquiry into donation laws and corruption in Tasmania?
Following the 2018 Tasmanian election, a group of Tasmanians wrote to the Premier Will Hodgman, seeking more transparency on election donations from the gaming industry, proposed changes to gun laws, regulation of the salmon industry and more. This month's panel discusses the question:
Do we need to hold a public inquiry into donation laws and corruption in our state?
At the Fern Tree Tavern next week, Wednesday night, 8 August, we will be discussing accountability and integrity in Tasmania.
Three great speakers will kick things off:
- Andrew Wilkie, Independent Member for Denison
- Amanda Sully, anti-corruption campaigner
- Roland Browne (TBC), barrister and vice president of Gun Control Australia
Join them for what promises to be a great discussion.
