The economic impacts of CSG: How will it affect you?

Tue, Nov 29, 2016 6pm AEDT The Crossing Theatre

RSVP Below

How many people will CSG employ and how long will the jobs last? Will they be new jobs, or simply taking skilled workers from local businesses. Will there be any spillover jobs? Will costs go up for existing local businesses? What happened in Queensland?
CSG development will have large impacts the local economy. There will be winners and losers, and most people will be affected one way or the other.
This event will hear from Richard Denniss, one of Australia’s leading economists, and from John Hoffman, a prominent local businessman and President of the Chamber of Commerce in Miles, a town at the centre of CSG development in Queensland’s Darling Downs
This event will present a macro-economic perspective, and also hear from someone who has experienced the reality of CSG development on the local economy first hand from a business perspective. This event will be a valuable discussion for anyone interested in how CSG development will affect them.
