Uncivil Discourse: Politics in the Pub with Gai Brodtmann
Politics in the Pub in July will feature Gai Brodtmann MP, who will deliver a speech titled “Uncivil Discourse” – and then take your questions.
Gai will explore the nature of discourse in politics, the media and the community today. Is it damaging Australia’s democracy? Who is responsible and does it need to change?
Gai has been the Member for Canberra since 2010 and Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Defence since 2013.
A longtime public figure in Canberra, Gai has experience in the public and community sectors as well as being a successful small businessperson.
Gai’s public policy interests include education, small business, defence, foreign affairs, superannuation, financial literacy and public administration.
