The Australian Bureau of Statistics is starting to send out marriage equality survey papers this week.
At the Australia Institute, our research shows that in the seat of Warringah -- Tony Abbott's seat -- 70% of people support marriage equality.
We want to let people know that when even literal Tony Abbott voters are saying YES to marriage equality, then they can too!
So we asked The Level at Endeavour House (the social impact building where the Australia Institute office is) if they would donate some space to run a phone-bank in our office and they agreed!
We would like to invite you to a Vote Yes to Marriage Equality calling event at The Level. We've registered our event with the Vote Yes campaign, which provides the central number to call to connect through to other community members, a calling script and the background information you'll need to ask people if they'll be voting yes for marriage equality.

This isn't something we have done before, but we think it's an important time for Australians to come together to show they support equal rights for their LGBTIQ colleagues, friends, siblings, mums and dads and loved ones. Like many community groups and businesses, we want to take a moment to participate in this important campaign and we hope you'll join us.
